Ok…I don’t get it. Why is it such a big deal to the liberals when states try to make people prove something that is so fundamental (and also straightforward)? It isn’t like it costs anything…if I remember right, states will give out ID cards to people who don’t have driving licenses. Jeez.
I’m going on record and saying it is a good idea. People should have to prove they are citizens to vote. How? Show your birth certificate when you register. Show your passport or driving license when you go vote. And don’t give me the line about naturalized citizens not having their paperwork….I live overseas…the paperwork to prove I’m legal here ranks up with my passport and birth certificate in importance.
