Well, I had a first today…. Today on the way to work, I had my first flat while riding my bike. Not a go out and the tire is flat type flat but the movie style you hear a pop then here hssssssssss as the tire goes flat.
I was about 1/2 way to work this morning (a very nice morning, BTW) when I heard it. I heard the pop and I knew what happened. Then, I heard the hssssssssss of air.
The strange thing was….I couldn't find anything in the tire when I fixed it. Last night when I got home, I noticed my tires were low so I pumped them up. My theory is that the tube got pinched in that process.
Oh well, there is a first for everything. Now, I know why I have carried my small pump, patches, and tire tools with me for three years :^)
