I got tired of running to google to have their search box do my conversions for me. So, I came up with this quick reference sheet to tape above the stove in the kitchen. Feel free to download and use my imperial to metric and metric to imperial pdf.
Instead of just going one way, I tried to do two-way conversions. That way, I can estimate easily without thinking. Enjoy.
I had forgotten this was today. national Geographic was supposed to broadcast it live, and I forgot. However….
The Rocket Man (yves Rossy) has crossed the English Channel today with nothing but wings on his back.
I was surfing the web today and came across a picture (click the read more link to see it). It made me stop, think, and wonder. As a Christian, I realize that lost people act…well…lost. But, in my mind, this goes beyond that. The picture has a young girl (perhaps < 10) performing what I see as a distincly American act (remember the scene in Top Gun? No, not that one…the other one. The one where Goose and Mavrick are keeping up international relations. Get the idea??), to a way older woman (80s or 90s) in a country where your anscestors and older people are supreme.
So, did the girl know what she was going? Who knows. I’ve met kids here in Serbia who are 5 or 6 and can cuss like sailors. And that is all of the english they know. Do they really know what they are saying? I don’t know. Probabaly not. I like to think not. But, I don’t know. If they don’t know, then what does that say about our country and what we export to the rest of the world? If they do know, shouldn’t that cause us Christians to think and share the love of Jesus with them?

Maybe she’s only joking, but what’s she doing, personally not permissible for me.
Why a little girl on her age doing act like that ?
Maybe she’s only follower from TV action, I don’t know.
I can’t understand.
Something wrong about young generation surroundings me.
Shame for me…but that fact I found on the street.
This is truly insane.
We had some friends come over this morning so one of them could talk to his dad. We had pancakes for breakfast. Afterwards, Lydia was being divaish and cute. here is a picture.
Tennis is so so so popular here in Serbia. Yesterday, two friends went to play in an indoor court. I took some pictures. One is below…the rest are here in our flickr photostream.
I’ve told everyone that I’ve started Master Life book 1 The Disciples Cross . Well, today’s lesson talked about a prayer guide that is in the back of the book. I’m not much for making copies and keeping them around so I decided to whip up an electronic copy. I’ve put it up here just so everyone can get a copy if they want.
We had some friends over and played 2 games of Attika last night. I won the first game. The second game was won by another player. We didn’t connect any temples and had to play until someone got their pieces on the board.
I think this is a very bad idea.
[Update 09-25-2008 09:00:27] Now we are paying for credit card debt too .
