Christianity/Islam Videos

I came across Pflander Films on YouTube and thought I would post a link to their videos here.  I haven't watched all of them, so I'm not vouching for them.  However, the ones I have watched pose some good information for those involved in the Christian/Muslim/Islam debate.

Stroller Thing

Well, Cyndi and I decided on a stroller thing.  We had orginially registered for one, but then we decided to go to Babies R Us and try a few out.  We decided to return the one that someone bought for us (thanks mom and dad) for a different model.  We tried colapsing and uncolapsing all of them and this was the only (THE ONLY) one that colapsed with one hand and didn't fall flat on the ground when you did it.

After we use it for a bit, we'll post how we like it.  Check back in January/February for more information.

Wood for 2006/2007 Winter is IN!

IMG_0850

Well, I thought I would let everyone know that I’ve managed to get Cyndi and I’s wood in for this winter.  We had some friends who had a bunch of wood but nothing to do with it.  They let us have it!  It was awesome!  We ended up with about 2 cords of wood (a cord is a stack of wood 4 feet wide x 4 feet tall x 8 feet long.  Or 128 cubic feet).  Here are some pictures if you want to have a look.

Its Better Than Pumpkin Pie

Every time we have made this to take somewhere, people want the recipie. I thought I would post it on the internet so everyone could find it:

1 29oz can pumpkin
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
3 eggs
1 tbsp vanilla
1 12oz can evap milk
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp allspice
1-2 tsp pumpkin pie spice (optional)
1 box yellow cake mix (2 layer size)
1/2 cup-1 cup butter/margarine (salted)
1 cup-2 cups chopped pecans

Mix pumpkin, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, evap milk, and spices until smooth
Pour into 13×9 pan
Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly across the top and pat down (gently)
Melt butter and drizzle over the cake mix to lightly coat
Sprinkle pecans evenly across the buttered surface
Bake at 350 for 45-60 minutes (or until lightly browned and set)
The pumpkin part on the bottom should be the consistency of pumpkin pie and the top layer should be a rich crust as the butter fused the pecans into the cake mix.
Let cool before serving and store in the fridge:)

Wal Mart

Last night while traveling, I had to stop at Wal Mart to buy some new windshield wipers.  I was talking to the checkout lady and she mentioned that Wal Mart would be open all day on Thanksgiving.  Can you believe it?!  They are making a store full of employees work just so a handfull of people can go shopping.  Craziness!!

OSU/MICH Game End

For those of you wondering why I quit posting about the OSU/Michigan game…Cyndi came home and needed to use the laptop.  So, I ended up and didn't get to blog the last quarter of the game  🙁

MICH Scores

8:13 left in the 3rd quarter

Looks like MICH scored a field goal.
