Prayer Request

On Saturday (14 Oct) myself and two co-workers will be participating in The Missions Century (for more information, go to http://www.TheMissionsCentury.org).  We will be riding from Richmond to Williamsburg and back (about 110 miles) to raise money for the IMB‘s Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.  I have four specific items I would like to ask people to pray for:

  1. Opportunities to Witness
  2. God to be glorified
  3. Saftey
  4. Good Weather

Thanks!

[Update 2012-12-26 15:05:52] The link to the LMCO was wrong.  I updated it.

Movies online

Based on Cyndi and I's trip to Serbia, we created this movie. We hope it will help people around the world get a sense of Serbia, the Serbian people, and their need for Christ. All the files below are the same movie…just different sizes.

Here in a bit, I'll have an avi up (sorry they are all Windows Media Player files right now…that is all MS Windows Movie Maker wants to make) and I'll put a copy on google video. When I do, I'll post a link. In the meantime:

Where Are We Headed?

Where is the US headed?  Well, certainly NOT where the founders intended.  Given some of the trash protected as free speech, this guy shouldn't have been arrested.  Read the story of the pastor arrested on a sidewalk for holding a sign of the 10 commandments.

I this latest case, the Christian activist notes, "I was arrested on a public sidewalk, three years ago, for holding a sign [bearing an inscription] of the Ten Commandments." He says the United States marshal who accosted him that day told him "Reverend Mahoney, you can be here. You just can't hold that sign."

Since Mahoney chose not to surrender his sign, he says he was taken into custody. However, he contends his arrest was a blatant violation of his constitutional rights, since "I was arrested not for my conduct but for my beliefs."
