Sloppy Joe Mix PDF Print E-mail
Written by Matt
Friday, 12 December 2008
sloppy_joe_sauce_internalSloppy Joe mix.   I like the kind in a can; however, tomato sauce is easy to come by here so the powdered kind that takes up less space is just as good.

vienna_sausage_internalLydia loves Vienna Sausages.  Plain.  be careful when you buy them though, because some of them include egg or milk protien.  Remember, Lydia has allergies to milk and eggs.

Canned Sweet Potatoes PDF Print E-mail
Written by Matt
Tuesday, 21 October 2008
Canned whole (or chunky) sweet potates (not the pureed kind).  Cyndi loves them.  I guess if you wanted to try to send whole sweet potatoes, that would be ok too.  They should last since it is cooler.

ZipLoc Bags PDF Print E-mail

Quart Zip Loc bags.  Or the generic.  We'd rather have freezer bags than storage bags because they are a tad bigger and nicer.  We use these when we take cookies or other goodies to our neighbors.

Cake Mix/Frosting PDF Print E-mail
Written by Cyndi
Thursday, 28 August 2008

We can certainly make cakes and frosting from scratch here and they're pretty good.  But it's just not quite the same as good ol' Betty Crocker, etc...  We really enjoy "American" cakes mixes and frosting.  Our fave cakes are: chocolate, devil's food, and yellow.  We love chocolate (except milk choc.) and white/vanilla frosting.  There are plenty of other choices we enjoy from time-to-time, but the boring, traditional stuff is what we like best :)

Chocolate PDF Print E-mail

Maybe I'm weird, since I know you can get excellent chocolate here, but I am such a Hershey's girl.  Even when faced with plenty of fancy "designer" chocolates, I would 99% of the time rather have the plain old American stuff :)  I love regular Hershey's Kisses and plain chocolate bars.  On a side note, I also really like mini Reese's cups, especially around Christmas...maybe because Mom always had them around the house then even though she can't stand PB!  I know Matt mentioned his preference for normal or even big cups, but that just means that if someone feels like sending minis sometime, I'll have them all to myself...bwaa haa haa!!

Lydia really likes fruit snacks and I like these since they seem a little "more fruity, less sugar-y" than some of the other brands.

Books PDF Print E-mail

We love to read so any english reading material you can send us would be most appreciated.  We can get **some**english books in our city; however, they are about 2-2.5 times more expensive than they could be bought in the states.

Before you send books, why not check out some free ebook sites just to make sure we can't already get them for free.  The Gutenberg Project is a good place to start.

Reeses Peanut Butter Cups PDF Print E-mail
Written by Matt
Wednesday, 27 August 2008
Either the regular old fashioned Reeses Cups or the new Big cups.  I'm not a great fan of the mini-cups.  In order to help us portion control either two per pack or singles of the smaller size or one per pack of the big cups.  Sorry to be so picky, but we need these things to last and if we open a whole package and are presented with 3 or 4 (in a king size) we'll have to eat them...we don't have any way to store them once opened.

Wal Mart Thick and Creamy Mac and Cheese PDF Print E-mail
Written by Matt
Wednesday, 27 August 2008

Sorry, I couldn't find a link for this.  It is the Wal Mart Brand Thick and Creamy mac and cheese.  If you can't find it, regular wal mart brand stuff (we think both are far superior to Kraft).

But, we have milk.  We have butter.  We have pasta.  All we need are the sauce packets.  Just get the stuff, open the box, and send us the sauce packets.  That's all we need.

Lemon Lime Kool Aid PDF Print E-mail
Written by Matt
Wednesday, 27 August 2008
Lemon Lime Kool-Aid.  Sugar is plentiful here, so we don't need the stuff with sugar already in it.  We also don't need the sugar free kind.  They just take up too much space.  Just the plain old packets of Lemon-Lime kool aid.
